Nobody ever said starters have to be masculine or neutral. Frankly the fact it looked feminine had never crossed my mind. It’s not the first ever feminine starter though. Delphox looks feminine, Blaziken looks feminine. Heck, I dare say Meganium looks somewhat feminine.
Granted none of the water starters do though.
Ultimately it depends on how you squint though. If I squint hard enough Feraligatr looks feminine.

If they are legit, it’ll be one of the few times I think a water starter looks reasonable. I’ve only ever chosen a water starter once and I regretted it. It’ll also be the only time I think the fire starter looks bad. I can appreciate wanting another wrestling themed pokemon (as much as I dislike wrestling) but did they have to corrupt the cat starter? I’ve been waiting eons for a cat starter ; n ;

Personally I’m against megas.

I like some of the designs of the megas, but personally I’d prefer they were actually full time pokemon or full alternate forms and not just some ‘only exist during battle’ thing. It makes them fleeting, like weather effects.

Plus the limited number of megas means non-megas are more likely to get neglected and it’s hard to run a team without having a mega yourself, which again locks you into choosing from the set of pokemon that have mega evos.

If the new Z-moves can one shot a mega evo, balance will be restored.
