Although what happened in the comic was mean, it’s clear that the writer’s message was against it. So good job. I really liked this. Also I am a boy in real life and I play as a girl. I entered my groudon in contests and it won a master rank cuteness ribbon <3

Giving Sableye 252 HP EV’s is a must anyway, so the additional defensive stats of the mega might make those EV investments more valuable.

Granted, Mega Absol isn’t common; however, Sableye’s advantage is the immunity to Fighting and the neutral to Bug.

In reply to UberMawile. Aside from Trick Room strategies, Calm Mind sweepers' gimmick is to sweep after the rest of the team helps eliminate the enemy's physical attackers.

Well I think the strategy is viable along with Recover, however, when Sableye reveals Calm Mind, the opponent should already be keyed it on what it’s attempting. And I don’t think it’s viable to run Taunt (a third move slot!) on this strategy just to stop the inevitable Haze/Whirlwind user incoming.

It’s still the end of them if they don’t have Haze/Whirlwind/Play Rough to beat Sableye once the Calm Minds begin. So I can see it working now as an end-game sweeper.

I always thought that all this buildup of having Mawile get a Mega but not Sableye was just a test to see how Game Freak could drastically improve it. 10 months of hype…FOR THIS?!?!

I can’t facepalm any harder than I can right now.

I wanted a super fast glass cannon (high attack stats but low defense stats) with Protean!

I…no…WE SHOULD ALL RUN GAME FREAK!!!
