I feel like Game Freak should do something about the Hidden Abilities being Near Impossible to acquire without some sort of hacking(minus the small amount available via hordes or friend safari) Closing the Dream World for gen 5 might have been more in preperation for X and Y, as well as the Shutdown of DS wifi in May, but it Doesn’t Help when Gen 6 has no Equivalent to it…. I was starting to get into the metagame when I realized that Hidden Abilities are such a big part of it yet Impossible to get for the pokemon not in the kalosdex or Friend Safari that were obtainible… one solution would be to make it that a Male Hidden ability Kecleon with Protean could make Protean Froakie with a Female Greninja…

Instead they make another Useless Website……

Hmm…

Well, so does any switching. Think of Stealth Rock as a fair trade for the switching you don’t do. If the opponent switches about 3-4 times, Stealth Rock or 1 layer of Spikes probably did as much damage as 1 attack already. If the opponent used Rapid Spin on your rocks or 1 spikes, you got back 1 turn.

Sand Tomb (and similar moves) also does damage over time while the opponent is locked, so I think that’s more worth it than Mean Look. You can also try Pursuit to “trap” Ghosts since they can switch out of anything.
