In reply to AttackonPoke. i'm only against using hacked Pokemon online! If you hack certain Pokemon for use in your solo game or in a emulation of a game that's one thing but using them in online battles for a unfair advantage is just wrong!

I feel bad for any of those kids out there that convinced or snuck charges onto their parents for pokemon through ebay. I was actually considering paying out of pocket for even pokemon for the first time as i just started getting obsessed with oras in anticipation for sun/moon.
The reason i feel bad for the kids that payed for pokemon they never would have even seen in their lifetime is partly because i remember buying a gba cartridge with a full shiny live pokedex game.
I managed to be able to transfer some pokemon all the way up to oras, including some i patched into the game using 1 of 3 different action replay devices. I wish i knew the ruling as i dont want to be unfair. My biggest problem is that i feel its unfair that ive played every single game since the originals multiple times over and many times i either lost my collection of pokemon, or like from gameboy to gba they didnt let us carry up our past pokemon. And its very hard and tedious moving up pokemon from HGSS into black/white into X n Y to then trade finally to ORAS. Another break where they stopped all carrying over pokemon was bettween diamond pearl and hgss.

I swear if there was a way to manually register every single pokemon i find in the wild with a generated serial code that u would enter on their site to validate it and allow it to be something you could keep trading up through the games even if they limit us to needin the nation dex to trade up… but hell id still ****ing do it. I just want my pokemon i dont want to hack em in, nor do i want to treat it like a job to get em back, and taking them all away so i have to catch them all over and i might as well throw away all my old precious pokemon that i love is just cruel.

I mean hell they could just flag my nintendo as having obtained hacked pokemon and temp trade ban me or soft tournament ban me, or flag the individually caught hacked pokemon. I just wanna have them ill go grind for a real team for online play.

Half my box of super-rare Pokemon I’ve accumulated got flagged. A hacked Celebi (cheat that gives event version for BW) passed, but a regular Infernape with 31 IVs and EV trained did not.PokeGen’d US variants of Victini which should be Japanese passed, however, a Drifblim from Platinum didn’t(and it has a shitty moveset!)

You’d think a company like this would do more than just fuck over anything valuable. So much for getting into the ORAS competitive field

I don’t think using hacked Pokemon is a big deal as long as the Pokemon is legitimate. Obviously having 6IV shiny legendaries is clearly very cheap and not fun to face from personal experience (honestly I just hate people that use more than 1 legendary anyways, that’s when it’s just stupid but I digress), but I guess it’s still technically legal so I’d allow it to pass. The system should really only filter out the obvious hacks with totally ridiculous stats, moves, abilities, etc.

I only ever made hacked Pokémon to complete the Pokédex. But they all have amazing movesets and perfect IV’s. Hey, if you can do it, you might as well lol

My one thing is… the app I use (Pokébuilder for iOS and Android) can only get Unova Pokémon through Bank if their met location is outside of Unova. For example, my two Lv. 25 Gigalith with a completely legit moveset, perfect IV’s and everything else… only got through when I put them as having been met in Sinnoh.

I now have to breed countless Pokémon from the 31 “Sinnoh/Unova” Pokémon to get legit Poké’s for every species… So hopefully, all of my Pokémon are legit now. I also have to breed a bunch of others so I don’t have one of each species. I like variety and options.

Well I really don’t see the problem if the hacked Pokemon is entirely legit. For example, as you pointed out, a shiny legendary with perfect IVs, EVs, and a legal move set is still legit because it’s possible to obtain it normally.
The hack checks can’t tell if you generated it or caught it legitly (there’s worse things to worry about anyway), so even though it’s supposed to be innocent until proven guilty, it still assumes you hacked due to unlikely chance of getting it. Maybe you should “hack” to remove the shiny aspect before you transfer it (or create and transfer another identical Pokemon, just without the shiny aspect) if you still want to be able to use it in tournaments and whatnot?
