im perfectly fine if there are no new shinys or rare pokemon in community days. Community Days just ruin
the game – It completely ruins the idea of shiny – rare – pokemon. Shiny pokemon are supposed to be super rare. Giving us pseudo legendary pokemon like dratini or tyranitar ruins their exclusivity. I have many friends who dropped shiny Dratini, charmander, magikarp and other rare pokemon in wild, then they were totally disappointed when they found out that these cool pokemon where once on community days and plenty of people have 10 shiny of them. I was lucky to get 98% shiny Gible and its my rarest pokemon. If they make a community day for it, it would ruin the game for me, because everyone would have it. Many people around me think about it the same. Community days ruins the game!

I’m glad competitive is taking off, but it shouldn’t be at the expense of other popular staples. If they really want to push competitive mons, it should be separate from community day. Even if they decide to combine it into community day as well, just communicate that every other month is going to be for voting/competitive Pokemon.

That way you have at least 6 new community days out of the year that average non competitive people at care about getting shinies from, and the other six they can do if they want or not.

I always felt that the “weekly pokemon hour” that they did should have been used for pokemon that are wanted by the PoGo community to have a community day but wont get one with Gible being an example of that. I also dont understand why we’re doing gen 1 community days when we’re already in gen 5 and we have gen 4 legendaries that still have yet to be released. Their egg layouts also need to be fixed because there was a time where I had 9 10km eggs and 6 of them hatched to be Feebas and it didnt make sense to me. They should also use the 7km eggs as a way to get region locked mons like they did when they put tauros, farfetch’d Mr. mime and kangaskhan in them for a week. You would think that with these throwback week events they would also use this time to put region locked mons for this gen as rewards for completing quests like Tropius, Relicanth, Kecleon *i dont even know if its been officially released*, Zangoose and Torkoal
