I was quoting bulbapedia, and tbf I know it’s only a collaborative source, but I back them on this, it’s a grass type gecko with a somewhat leaf-like tail. Are there any other geckos with more similar tails to Treeckos? (honestly curious, because in that case yeah leaf-tailed geckos have a much weaker case)

Yep. And some of them were proven right, however some actually worked and made the Pokemon better overall.
I can’t see Z moves in the same light as Mega Evolution since Z moves are a one off and Megas were for the duration of the battle.

Not me. I have a few I want for sure (Litten and Rockruff!) but I’m going to try some out before I make my final choices.
