In reply to Reece. Yes! It really does help Togekiss annoy its opponents. I prefer using the Leftovers item myself. When I play Togekiss, its usually higher in the defense/HP stats, so Leftovers helps it last a bit longer on the battlefield (combined with Roost, of course).

Lots of Togekiss love! Togekiss is one of my favorite gen 4 teammates. It’s got bulk and a solid moveset. The thing about Togekiss is that generation 5 brought many new threats to deal with it. Electric types resist its STAB attacks and they’re often faster (namely Zapdos and Raikou).

According to Smogon, Togekiss was brought down to the UU (underused) tier from OU (overused) tier because of these new threats. Other Pokemon such as Boldore, Excadrill and Crustle can counter many of its moves. Sure it gets Aura Sphere, but Excadrill is quicker and Boldore comes with Sturdy. Even fighting types like Conkledurr often learn moves like Rock Slide and Stone Edge, plus they come with the bulk to withstand an attack.

Side note: My favorite Togekiss set is the para-flinch set (Thunder Wave + Serene Grace + Air Slash = epic annoyance).

5th gen gym leader were way too easy except for drayden and maybe elesa and lenora if u don’t have a super effective poke
roxie is tough bc of the pokemon available but 5th gen gm leader were 2 easy

togekiss is amazing all of its stats are above 80 except attack

it has amazing defenses good hp that will most of the time be above 300 great sp attack and pretty good speed for a pokemon that had both bulk and power also it base stat total is 545
it moveset is great and balance with its stats

Same here – with the exception of a few back in the old days of Red and Blue when I was 10 years old and didn’t know any better (bahaha). Sabrina in particular gave me a hard time, and Lance of the E4.

i personally never had trouble with any gym leaders. they could definitely use some ev boosts or something in future generations. it’s like the only times you might have real trouble with a gym leader are if you don’t raise your pokemon or check the signs outside the gyms for their type affinity and catch something super-effective.
