Excellent article. Reminds me of Bulbapedia’s brilliant “on the origin of species” articles. I have just one niggle: don’t you think Scolipede’s size links it to the mighty Arthropleura of Carboniferous times gone by? Certainly not a detail to neglect, isn’t it? (Yes I know I’m months late. Whatever, I only read this now.)

I really like this!
Would you do the Nosepass line later, it is so strange.

As a fan of zoology, cryptozoology, mythology and folklore, I would love it if you guys also covered Pokemon whose origins also come from not so biological sources. ^_^ Great starting article!
