Having slept on it, I noticed this.

this matches the talon placement, the wings with the lumps and the arcing tail.
This is a high res Articuno based on the Pokemon Silver Sprite.

Perhaps the silhouette is meant to be generic, similar to the body typing in FR&LG. This way you don’t know what Pokemon you are getting until you capture it with the AR beam… (Sometimes you get a common PKMN and occasionally you get something legendary)

The headpieces are too thin.
The wings are too streamlined.
The feet are not thin and long enough, or even have a similar shape.
Its not the tail otherwise it would be slightly visible left of its neck.

Theres tiny details on the sides of the head, which Articuno doesnt have.
The bulges on the wings may be some kind of target circles, but the wings are not the same as Articunos.

It resembles no pokemon we know of atm.

Finally, something for 3DS! I’m so happy that we’ll get all Pokemon on Pokedex 3D.
