I’m having the same problem.

That’s what I’m saying, it’s the other way around, and Hiyappu is the blue monkey, and Baoppu is the red. But I’m not familiar with the name ordering, so I could be wrong.
Although, as it happens, I have found a number of pictures of Baobabs growing in watery areas as well as dry, dusty ones. So it just be the Hyacinth that’s wrong/off.

It doesn’t make sense, since Baoppu is blue water monkey, how its name could come from baobab that is found in dry areas in Africa

Spelling correction. Baobab, not Boabab, making it eve more fitting.

If these -are- actually real, slowkingsley on Serebii pointed out that the water and fire ones are likely the other way around, with Hiyappu coming from Hyacinth and __appu, and Baoppu coming from Boabab and __appu. This makes sense, as Hyacinths are commonly blue, and I believe grow well near water, and Boabab trees are found in the dry scrubland of Africa.

I think it’s quite believable…these three new pokemon could link with that picture seen before with the two other people behind Dento(The one with the gym badge animation). Although I could be completely wrong because Dento only has yanappu in the anime so far…

And as pokebeach says, maybe it is some way to promote three-on-three battles.

On closer inspection it seems that Characters at the begining seem different, but I’m not a japanese speaker thus, I am making this observation with my eyes and not my brain…sort of…
