Black & White Rumors V (UPD2)

We’ve finally reached Rumor post V for Gen V!  Here goes :3  Remember not to take these as fact until they are PROVEN.

• IV Values now have 8 kinds instead of 6
• There will be some kind of modification for the pokemon coming over from previous generations to fix their stats
• 4 EVs per battle
• Gaining Effort values has also changed
• Hidden Power now varies in base power between 60 and 70 (UPD)
• No new natures are being introduced
• 26 new abilities
• 156 total new pokemon (5 being distribution-only) [This correlates to what Experto has said]
• Hypnosis accuracy lowered to 55%, Dark Void’s accuracy now 50%
• Triple Battles and Rotation Battles are encountered many times
• PokeShifter is mentioned as being… less than desirable
• Random Match has two modes; 6vs6 Single and 4vs4 Double
• Random Match adheres to Battle Tower rules
• New rule called ‘Fresh’ which allows only pokemon trained in Black/White can be used
• Battle Subway has a WiFi component
• DSi users will be able to participate in events at McDonalds in which they can scan a barcode to receive an item or pokemon
• New HM to change seasons

Separate rumor pointed out by SymphonicMuffin.  These are the alleged abilities of the Pokemon Peer Kanto starters:

• Squirtle: Shell Armor
• Charmander: Flame Body
• Bulbasaur: Poison Point

Also since I’m posting this up anyway, a separate rumour also from a guy claiming to have read PokemonPia was brought to my attention a while back. It suggests the same thing only with Bulbasaur having ‘Chlorophyll’ instead of ‘Poison point’.

BW Rumors IV

IV right?  I think that’s where we’re at.  Anyways these are JUST RUMORS… ok?  As in I don’t want people saying “omg pokejunglez is so unreliable because he postz stuffs that isn’t true?!!?!”.  I always say, and always will say, do not take these as fact unless we get some proof.

• ‘N’s real name is “North” (Nousu) and he is leader of Team Plasma.  (Didn’t we already decide that wasn’t going to happen?)
• Elite 4 Fara: Normal/Flying
• Elite 4 Shuten: Fighting/Steel
• Elite 4 Kageha: Ghost/Dark [Kage = shadow]
• Elite 4 Murou: Dragon
• Champion South (Sausu): Mixed types (Also he is apparently N’s brother)

There are apparently some rumored names of starters but I can’t find them on 2ch yet so until I have something that I know didn’t originate from the western world I’ll refrain from posting.

BW Rumors III

I am back from Chicago safely; survived the 7hr car ride home.  Time to post some rumors for you guys!  :3  Now these come from the same thread on 2ch as the last ones did, but obviously were posted after.  The thing to keep in mind is that sometimes after an original rumor is posted (whether true or false) other posters may post rumors in the same style as the original.  Since it is an anonymous board we have no way of knowing if several people have posted these or there is a single poster or what.  As ALWAYS these are simply the starting point for discussion and for sharing opinions on what you wish may be included in the games

Eletusk

• Elephant Pokemon
• Type: Electric/Ground
• Abilities: Volt Absorb or Lightning Rod
• Attacks: Wild Bolt, Thunder Fang, Horn Attack, Uproar
• Appearance: Elephant with lightning-bolt shaped tusks.  Defense is highest stat
• *Note: Poster said its pre-evolution may be named something like Laifan

The alleged poster of these rumors went on to say that they “apparently” got to play it but there was a ban on pictures.  Isn’t that always the case?  ;)  Also there was a brief rumor for Tsutaja’s evolution names: tsutanekku and tsutanaibi.  Frankly I think those were a joke because “tsutanai” can mean poor quality so it may be a play on words with the ‘tsuta’ in their names (which is ivy).  Also if you read through 2ch threads there was another pokemon posted named Kyattsuri but it was faaaaaake.  Even before the poster admitted it the “Slant Eyed Pokemon” species description kinda gave it away
