Unova Gyms UNTAMED: Nimbasa City

Hello, everyone! I hope you’re all having a great month of April so far. It’s been a while since I updated. I just moved to Seoul, South Korea about a month ago and I’m still getting acclimated in my new apartment and city. I have to tell you that I absolutely LOVE it here! The people are super friendly, the food is inexpensive and amazing, and the city is full of stuff to do. If you ever have a chance to visit, please do! The public transit is extremely easy to navigate through (I haven’t got lost and I’m super bad with directions back home) so I’m looking forward to do some more traveling. On a random note, Lady Gaga is coming this month and I’m ridiculously excited to see her. I’ll be getting my tickets tomorrow icon biggrin Unova Gyms UNTAMED: Nimbasa City

Anyway, this isn’t a journal entry, ha! My main purpose for writing is of course to introduce the next article for Gym Leaders: Untamed! The fourth gym is Elesa of Nimbasa City, and she uses electric type Pokemon. Now finally a difficult gym! I have to admit that the first three gyms (the third one especially) were extremely easy for me on all playthroughs with each starter. Electric is easily one of the best types, if not THE best type, in the game. It only comes with one weakness (ground) and is filled with a plethora of useful Pokemon (Zapdos, Lanturn, Magnezone, Rotom, etc). It’s also difficult at this point in the game to play any ground types unless you’re lucky/patient enough to catch a Drilbur. You should have access to Rock  Tomb and Dig, but their effectiveness is fairly limited due to the strength and speed of Elesa’s pokes.

Hope you enjoyed this installment, folks! Take care and talk to you all soon icon biggrin Unova Gyms UNTAMED: Nimbasa City -Mr. Bojingles

ps- Commenting question: Is Elesa the hottest female gym leader? (And thanks for the image guide4gamers!)

Pokemon Smash Coverage! [UPD5] HQ Gameplay Video

Pokemon Smash just ended, and as per usual we did our live coverage for the episode. Although nothing new was really revealed, some gameplay footage was seen showing the first few minutes of the game. This revealed Hiougi City as a far larger starter town then ever before and Azuril and Lillipup being available in the wild in an early route, among other things. The footage also confirmed that Oshawott, Tepig and Snivy will stay as the BW2 starters. Watch above for the full video. icon smile Pokemon Smash Coverage! [UPD5] HQ Gameplay Video

UPD 3/4/5: Updated post with higher quality videos of the gameplay footage. An HQ video of the Intro can be seen here. Also, battle footage of White Kyurem and Black Kyurem vs Serperior can be found here (thanks Pedro!).

P.S. Just btw, for those who haven’t seen a Pokemon Smash episode before, the news part of the show isn’t until the last half-ish. So, in the mean time, be sure to check out our last post featuring ‘translation nuggets’ from the recent BW2 news!

CoroCoro Translation Nuggets [#6]

PokéJungle Translator Kriffix here once again. In just a few hours Pokémon Smash will air, hopefully supplying us with precious news! Masuda will also be making an appearance on the show and will be playing Pokémon Black 2/White 2 live!
In the mean time, whilst we wait for the all important announcement, I will update this post every 20 minutes or so with 6 “translation nuggets” from CoroCoro and the official Pokémon site which have not yet been translated elsewhere. Among these there are a few which other sites have overlooked but may turn out to be very important to the plot of BW2. Remember, you read it here first!

Technically not a translation but rather a focus. Who are this group of people wearing Black? Have team Plasma returned with a vengeance and a new get-up? The orange hair colour may suggest this.

Nuggets complete! If you enjoyed them let me know and I may do it again sometime!

First Trailer for BW2! [UPD] New Pokémon to be announced?

UPD: According to the preview in the latest Corocoro, the June issue (Which we’ll get the leaks for in May) will announce and showcase a new Pokémon!  Is it an untimely Genesect or something entirely new? Thanks to AAPF for the heads up!
