Japan Cup + Croagunk C-Gear Skin [UPD]

japancup1 Japan Cup + Croagunk C Gear Skin [UPD]

The Japanese Global Link site is hosting a tournament! Named the ‘Japan Cup’, the tournament is in commemoration of the first birthday of the Japanese release of Pokemon Black & White and, as such, you can only enter if you’re a player in Japan (Wow. Can’t believe it’s been almost a year…). The tournament consists of Double Battles, with the use of Unova Pokemon only, excluded Victini, Reshiram, Zekrom and Kyurem. Applications for the tournament can be found at the official Daisuki Club website from September 9th to September 14th, while the tournament itself runs from September 15th to the 19th. With the results being made public on September 28th. All participants will recieve the Pikachu 2011 Worlds C-Gear skin that was distributed to Europe and America earlier this month but, there’s only 10,000 available spots, so if you just so happen to live in Japan and love competitive battling, be sure to sign up quick!

In US Global Link news, the Poison Jab Croagunk C-Gear skin that was distrubuted to Japan earlier this year has finally made its way to the states! The skin is available from now until March 1st, 2012, but, to get it you will need a password that is in the August issue of Nintendo Power magazine. The password hasn’t found its way to the internet yet, but stick with us and we’ll post it as soon as it becomes known! The password is NPCGEAR.

P.S. I actually really like the Croagunk C-Gear skin, and now that it’s gone state side it’s only a matter of time before the Piplup C-Gear makes it’s way over! icon biggrin Japan Cup + Croagunk C Gear Skin [UPD]

Pokemon Rumble Blast EU Announcement

SuperPokemonScramble websitelogo1 Pokemon Rumble Blast EU Announcement

This news really only applies to our EU readers, but none the less, its news.

Pokemon Rumble Blast came out in Japan recently, and it was just announced that it’ll to be coming to Europe this December! Although we don’t have an exact day for it’s release, we do know that  the game will go by a different name in Europe. It’ll be known as Super Pokemon Rumble! Which is a bit surprising, as it differs from it’s American name, Pokémon Rumble Blast. It’s Trozei/Link all over again! There is no official logo or box art as of  yet, so I just went with the Japanese one. :p

Anyway, surprised by the two month delay between America and Europe? And which name do you prefer? Discuss it all in the comments!

Pokemon Gray is Official? I Think Not.

1284 0 055775001311861485 pokemon grey version by absolutezero x d3e2o5g 300x269 Pokemon Gray is Official? I Think Not.

It seems that the domain, pokemongray.com, has officially been registered! (And apparently it’s been since back in September of 2010, which is when Black and White were first released in Japan.) When you visit the site you are directed to a place holder page that is being managed by the Melbourne IT DBS Company.  As some of you may or may not know, they manage Nintendo websites, and inturn Pokemon ones as well. For example the official Pokemon Black and White site is managed by Melbourne. What’s most interesting is the statement on pokemongray.com:

“This Internet address is being managed by Melbourne IT DBS for one of the world’s top brands. At the present time there is no active Web Site for the address. It may be under construction, or the owner may have reserved the address for future needs.”

“One of the worlds top brands?” Sounds like Pokemon and Nintendo to me! For those of you who don’t know, Nintendo has a tendancy of registering domains to protect any of their products or to save it for a future game. Interestingly enough, there are other sites that Nintendo has registered but have never actually used. Such as pokemontopaz.com, pokemonamethyst.com, and pokemonopal.com. So does this confirm that Nintendo owns the name? Pretty much. Does it confirm that ‘Gray’ will be the newest title to feature the Unova region? Not exactly. As I said before, Nintendo have, and always will pre-register names just in case. So expect the unexpected when it comes to the game name. I remember how shocked a lot of people were when they heard ‘Pokemon Platinum’. But if the game does end up being called Pokemon Gray, then no surprise there. I mean, everyone went “Third game will be Pokemon Grey/Gray!” the moment Pokemon Black and White were announced. :p

So do you like the title of Pokemon Gray? What are some things you want/are looking forward to in Pokemon Gray? Comment down below!

P.S. I find it weird that they spelled Gray like g-r-a-y, I think g-r-E-y looks…..better? Idda know. :l

Dae asks: Favorite Town/City [UPD]

daeasks Dae asks: Favorite Town/City [UPD]Welcome to a new Dae asks! The news has been really slow past days, so that makes a perfect time to ask questions.

Today’s question is a one about the looks and feels of the games. Which town or city in the games is the coolest, the prettiest, the awesomest or just has the best atmosphere. And don’t only look at the most recent games, try to imagine how it will look like on the 3DS.

Ready? Set. Go commenting!

Ozy’s note: Wouldn’t exactly call this an update, but I found some stuff on the internet that you guys might enjoy: Rustboro City, Slateport City, Lilycove City, Petalburg City
