Pokémon + Oda Nobunaga Live Translation *Finished*

Hey guys, PokéJungle translator Kriffix here. I haven’t really been doing as much around here since the Black and White pre-release days. It feels like only yesterday that I was part of the team here, disproving fake scans, offering English translations and new Pokémon reveals faster than anywhere else!

Anyways, a live broadcast detailing Pokémon + Nobunaga’s Ambiton just finished airing, and as usual I translated my findings here for you guys, click the spoiler for pictures:

  • -There have been plans and discussions for a Pokémon x Nobunaga collab for over 3 years.
  • -Many gimmicks allow you to create shortcuts (a new one being Ivy for some grass Pokémon)
  • -Some Pokémon can leave holes at pivotal parts of the map as traps for the enemy.
  • -During battles, General/character events take place depending on how well you do.
  • - Defeat the enemy by defeating them within 15 turns (at least this was the limit in the game shown here) or capture all of their flags.
  • -In the original Nobunaga games there are over 40 famous generals. A concern from a fan was brought up as to whether all would be available to play, to which the representative from KOEI responded that he intends to give more information as time goes on, but for the time being he assures that fans of the Nobunaga series won’t be disappointed with the number of Generals.
  • -A limited edition Black Rayquaza dragon card will be given with the game (In Japan)
  • -Limited edition figures (Nobunaga with Zekrom or Mitsuhide with Articuno) will be given to those who pre-order (In Japan)
  • -A question was asked about the roles of Zekrom and Reshiram. Confirming Reshiram’s presence in the game seemed to be strategically avoided by the producer.
  • -The game was designed to encompass a wide range of fans from young to old.
  • -Oichi’s ability restores some HP of all ally Generals.

Oha Suta Point 4

Hey guys, Kriffix here!

Oha Suta’s 4th point (out of 5) has just aired. It’s not much at all unfortunately…

In the ‘feeling check’ you press your finger against the screen to get ranked from 1~100. Your score earns you special “Heart Sweets”. The purpose of which is still unknown.

On a more personal note, I’m trying to avoid spoilers until and after release now so I won’t be here translating here for a while after tomorrow’s Pokémon Sunday special (Yes, despite being a Thursday!). After which point I’ll be leaving all the translating to the very capable hands of Paul, Ozy and NL!

PokéSun Live Report! (UPD)

Hey PokéJunglers!

Kriffix here, Paul was kind enough to allow me to head up the Pokémon Sunday coverage. I’ll be translating live and posting here what I can find as fast as humanly possible. *shall tidy up the post after airing finishes*

  • After today’s anime episode the PokéSun members will be trying out Black and White. Victini will make an appearence.
  • Masuda appears! He promises new info!
  • The game has taken a 4 years to complete. He restates no old pokemon until the end.
  • choose between Kanji and Kana in the beginning. (can switch again later)
  • Minezumi in first possible patch of grass (duh)
  • Theres a real sense of traveling alongside Bell and Cheron (at least in the beginning of the game). They’re walking along side you in some cases.
  • N has wacky circus-like music. Very interesting!
  • first HM you get is “Cut”. You get it from Makomo.
  • Showing off the vehicles and boats as they go by as you walk the bridges. Angles constantly changing. really milking it.
  • Anime news: we see Rocket in their new suits briefly, Ash’s mom is travelling with him to Isshu
  • Masuda says going to show Pokemon not seen ANWHERE! (why do I get the feeling this was recorded before today’s leaks? :p)
  • So far; DeathKahn. Dentula. Ononokusu.
  • Minezumi Dex: It stores food in its cheeks so that it can keep watch for days. It uses its tail to signal its friends. (NL)
  • Choroneko Dex: It steals peoples’ things whilst playing with them. The person stolen from usually forgives Choroneko because of it’s cute actions. (NL&Number&Kriff)
  • (UPD) Mijumaru Dex: It fights with the scallop on its belly. After recieving a blow, it immediately counterattacks with a slash. (Thanks to Number and ok for the heads up!)

Isshu as good as confirmed to be New York

Hey guys, Kriffix here.

Thanks to Ozy for passing this on to me.

This is the PokemonPia Magazine that will give people the chance to catch one of the original 3 starters with alternate abilities. Now that we can see the cover in higher quality, it is now possible to make out that it says “The adventure’s setting is New York!?” which suggests that on the inside there will be more details upon purchasing and reading.

Though the “?” means that its not stated explicitly, being an official magazine this makes it as good as confirmed. Can you honestly see it going any other way if this is on the front?

This comes as no shock, many of us were able to figure it out ages ago!

Dento is one of three!? *UPD* Possible Fakemon

Hey PokéJunglers!

A PokéJungle visitor by the name of ‘OK’ has very kindly pointed out the presence of two other trainers in Dento’s Gym. Could it be that our first gym leader is in fact a team of three!?

Waiters. A Fire-type user, a Water-type user and their head waiter, Dento,  A Grass-type user. Most likely each having only a single Pokémon.

In Ruby and Sapphire Tate and Liz were introduced as the first (and to date  last) double battle Gym Leaders. So having more than one leader at once won’t be a new thing.

What this means has yet to be revealed but could be that Dento greets you in the beginning then you proceed to battle each leader with Dento being last. Or it could even be a triple battle~?  Only time will tell!

P.S.S-Ozy found some pics. He believes them to be fake.

I feel guilty admitting I actually like the Pokabu one…I think I  need more fresh air…
