I’m tired and I have a headache.  And I’ll do Goon’s Scizor tomorrow.  Don’t stone me plz.

BUT.  The reason I’m updating is that I need a new banner for the layout I’m working on and I’m shit with graphics.  So… anyone want to have a go with it?  I’d like it to have a green/black scheme, but really anything with green works and either focus on Tsutaja OR Chikorita.  :3  It needs to be 940px wide by 198px tall.  Anyone up for it!?  I know someone originally offered me gfx services and linked to their dA but I forgot to get in touch with them D:  To them I offer a sincere apology.  I would love to see if my visitors could come up with something!  Plus what would be cooler than getting your banner featured on PJN (answer: a hell of a lot of things)?  If there are enough good ones I may put in a rotation script!

So if you do make a banner please upload it to a free image hosting site (Image Shack, Imgur, Photobucket, etc) and link it in the comments!  <3 <3 <3

ps- Also post comments about ideas on a contest to win Satoshi’s Pikachu.  I have it downloaded now.  I will never be compiling lists of names again in order to decide a winner… MUCH too long.  So give me some food for thought if you’ve got it <3  Good time to through in site suggests as well as I’m working on the next version of the blog 😉

    Here’s my attempt at a banner for the site, showing off the two bipedal grass starters Tsutaja and Treecko. 😛

    I have the project saved on my computer, so if you’re interested in it, I’ll be willing to make some changes to whatever you see fit Pokejungle. 🙂

    I decided against using the current “Prepare for Black and White” slogan because, well, in about two months or so, that slogan will be invalidated cos we won’t be preparing anymore, so I came up with something that went both with the tangled theme of the banner, vines, jungle-esque and the whole Spinarak thing you got going on here too ^.^

    I will be experimenting with more and will post them later, but please let me know once you’ve made a decision so I know when to stop XD

    • I like your banner, it could probably be improved by spacing out the grass starters throughout the width of it with the large tsutaja at the end and having “pokejungle” taking up the space across the top of the small starters with those pokeballs on either side of the site name.

        Personally, I don’t agree that they are ALL messy – I think the last one is, but only because it comes across as cluttered. The other two Chikorita ones are a bit off due to my dreadful drawing. However, I don’t think the three Tsutarja ones are messy at all.

        Still, tis up to the boss at the end of the day ^.^

    • I really like how the drawings of the pokemon aren’t just Sugimori’s pasted onto a banner. You got a little bit more creative. I think that gives the banner a unique sense of identity.

    • I really really like the way you did the top of that. The layout I’m working on kind of has space for a rectangle but I’m going to keep this design in mind for some sort of future project because the rounded top really caught my eye. And the text, pretty *_* I like the way its shadowed and looks kind of like it was cut out of the banner or something :p

  43. Instead of trying to guess numbers, why don’t you pick a Pokemon and we all try to guess it? Closest to it (by pokedex number) wins.
