- Dex # 616: A clam with red body and a helmet shell.
- Dex # 617: Ninja clam with no shell. Pure Bug Type. (Melkore says he doesn’t know how to describe these very well..)
- Dex # 618: Marbled Electric Ray Pokémon. It’s yellow/brown and a Electric/Ground Type
- Dex # 619: Monk Warrior Pokémon. Martial arts pose, brown body, pink arms and legs.
- Dex # 620: Similar to 619, white color and mustache. Fighting Type.
- (UPD) Dex # 621: Red Headed Dragon. It’s blue with a red head and scales. It has a very aggressive and cool design. Pure Dragon Type.

It appears as though alot of bug pokemon will be making an appearance in this generation. Definately more then i’ve seen in other gens. “Bugs making a comeback. To show us that they are no longer the weakest.”
Their are alot of bugs this gen and fighting types….not enough variety if you ask me… :/
I personally don’t mind all the bugs (Misty sure as hell does).
What I’m bothered with are all of those damn secondary Fighting types.
So many *insert type here*/Fighting Pokemon in this generation.
And BARELY ANY pure or primary Fighting type Pokemon.

It could just be that there wasn’t many fighting type pokemon nor bug pokemon in previous games. However i also wanted to see more psy or ice pokemon.
Well I just wish they couldve been a little more creative with the ice types….and cant forget about my dark types…ahah

Speaking of Dark types… I REALLY REALLY hope it’s NOT TRUE that there won’t be a Dark type Gym this generation.

I think it just seems like there’s a lot of Bug and Fighting types because a lot of them got leaked around the same time. I felt the same way about Grass types not long ago.
Though, my favourite type is Bug, so I’m not complaining. xD

People have been saying all week that Melkor was going to release his source material (sprites or whatever) on the 15…but I have no idea where they got this idea or if he really has plans to do so.

I think he means that it is a clam, with a BOTTOM shell, but the top half of the shell is gone.
Its probably referencing another bug that loses its exoskeleton, kinda like cicadas do (nincada was a cicada)

i don’t understand why we have an electric/ground ray, AND an electric lamprey. Cool ideas for pokemon, but could have made the lamprey grass/water or something, for the HP sucking moves etc and because it’s a cool typing 🙂

That’s valid but I don’t recall a lantern in the Digimon world.
Pokemon came before digimon so clearly pokemon cannot look like digimon, and it gets annoying when people say omg these pokemon look like digimon, I personally dont see how pokemon can look like digimon when they are drawn by 2 diffrent people……Maybe they have similarities but thats it….so pokemon look like pokemon and digimon look like digimon…

What people mean by that statement, is that Pokemon are now more detailed and a few of them are far from the usual “cartoony” look that Pokemon is known for. Design-wise, they look more like the average Digimon, than the average Pokemon. (Palkia, Zekrom, Reshiram, Ononokusu, etc)
Actually you’re kind of right, but a lot of wrong too. Yes, Pokemon did come out before Digimon, but lets look at the candle pkmn….it was made this year…Candlemon was one of the early ones (prolly one of the first batch of Digimon) so he has a point to say the Candle PKMN looks similar to Candlemon and I agree…for some reason some of this gen’s PKMN kind of takes after some digimon but they’re still original in my book ^_^

This may be coming out of the clear blue sky but it needs to be said: As a huge fan of ice-types and that new “Ice Cream” Pokemon, I feel like the constant bashing of said Pokemon is absurd, or just people missing the point. If you take a good look at the “Ice Cream” Pokemon, he’s in fact an “icicle” not ice cream.
Of course, the crazy minds at Game Freak seemed to fuse the idea of Ice Cream with Icicle together essentially making a delicious icicle of death. Sadly, by the look of all these fighting-types being added (which I don’t mind since before Gen V they’ve been getting the “cold shoulder”) they are going to crush my poor, little ice-types. Le Sigh.
Apparently some people are commenting on Pokexperto, threatening to report him to Nintendo if he doesn’t release what he knows -.- I don’t think extortion/blackmail is going to solve problems. It’s going on on the last page of comments on the newest article.

Yes it’s a flounder. I think the first time it was mentioned in Pokeperto’s comments, Hiro even described it as a flat-fish. Dunno where Melkor got “ray” from. It’s obviously not a ray of any sort lol.
