I dunno if you guys are a fan of me posting this stuff, but I always like to see characters/pokemon in their Anime/Manga iterations because it fleshes out their personality a little more than what we might see in the game or just the Sugimori artwork. Up top we see Dangoro using Rock Slide and also Hiyappu, Yanappu, and Basurao in the manga. In the ‘Best Wishes’ poster we see Poddo, Dento, and Kone (no, I will not call him ‘Corn/Korn’ no matter what the pun on his name is).

But … Kone doesn’t even make sense….the Japanese is Koon, no ‘e’ anywhere.
It’s clearly Korn/Corn, to go alone with Dent and Pod. That’s just silly.

lol Kriffix was complaining that I put up ‘Koon’ because he said the most natural way to translate it would be writing it as ‘Kone’. I will never EVER call him Korn 😐
lol Well “koon” can be pronounced differently in English to how it should sound in Japanese and it can mean something offensive down under, so Kone is better than nothing.
But poor Korn, he just wants you to love him and his goofy name. :p

This particular comic was inside of CoroCoro so it won’t be making it’s way stateside, but PokeSpe BW will probably be translated into English at some point and sold 🙂
I hope so. why didnt this comic come out the other day with the rest of the scans? oh well its fine. my japanese isnt that great, but I know some of it.
I always get words mixed up, and sometimes good words turn into bad words and etc, i start looking like an idoit.

Isn’t this the sequel to Pokemon Diamond And Pearl Adventure (NOT Pokemon Adventures: Diamond & Pearl, which would be the english name for PokemonSpecial’s D/P arc)? If so, it’s likely to be translated & published in English, since it’s assumed prequel has been.

i was thinking about those 3 monkeys…yanappu evo has elvis hair and hiyappu evo apparently has dreadlocks…..Elvis Presley and Bob Marley anyone? Now i’m intrigued as to what the Baoppu evo looks like……there’s a trend here. Plus it’s supposed to look sleepy….Michael Jackson? This is one interesting generation…
