Well my very first Pokemonxmas gift happened to be Pokemon Emerald, and I’m sure you all know I played that game to death. Easily the most used Christmas gift ever.
A year later I received Pokemon Colosseum as a Christmas gift, which I loved. I love double battles so I quickly fell in love with the game, but I never did finish it.
The next one was Pokemon White 2 (yes for challenge mode), and some Pokemon accessories. It started the of me getting Pokemon cards that I barely care about, and the other games in generations. I also got Pokemon Rumble which was very fun! I played it a bunch and I played it even after Christmas, so I obviously thought it was very fun. I never finished it becausei just don’t feel like it.
The next year I got Y and small pokemon accessories. I remember I got a book with all Pokemon From Kanto-Sinnoh, and their signature moves. Mind you Kalos is the most recent game.
Then I got Pokemon Omega Ruby, but it was the one I played least at that moment. I was still going the phase where I hated ORAS for no BF. And I got small Pokemon accessories as usual.
Last thing was Pokemon Moon, and I played it a lot, but I never beat the game. I’m mid elite 4 just don’t feel like continuing on.
This year I’m expecting but not wanting UM as I simply have no use for it. I definitely won’t play it at all.
I love Christmas I almost always got Pokemon type accessories which were always so nice. I loved those Pokemon Books that showed every Pokemon and their movesets. I had like 3 as a kid. I don’t need them anymore because internet. They would try to give me other games. I still have OoT, I probably won’t play that.

Serious suggestion, they should have a region based off of a Communist country and have the player be fighting against the already ruling party, Team Sickle. Each time you beat them, things get gloomier until the final boss and which you defeat him and the region blossoms open.

      ….what … why even… WHAT

      • LunaMoon

It’d be fun to have a region where the Team is already in power and you have to take them out.

        • Re:Seraph

          That’s… not… the issue?

My brother and I are gifting each other a bunch of pokemon mega construx sets this year lol 😛

For Christmas 2006 I got a target gift card and had just seen my cousin play his copy of Pearl. It was crazy to see how far pokemon had come since gen 1 when I stopped playing. So I took that gift card and bought a copy of Diamond right away and the rest is history 😀

Should’ve just waited a few month or a year or so as the DP remakes are for sure coming this year or next. It’s illogical for them not to come out soon.

      • Monkeyfuzz

Depends when gen 8 is out, it will be at least a year after that.

        • LunaMoon

Well they kinda have to get a new Pokemon game out in 2018 as with the Switch and being a good opportunity. Plus, USUM aren’t really considered official ‘games’, more like things to do while we wait.

          • Monkeyfuzz

Uh, yes they are official ‘games’? They aren’t a new generation if that’s what you mean. Also there was over a year of no main game after ORAS. The first switch game will be Gen 8, not a remake.

          • LunaMoon

Still, USUM had significantly less new things than say Crystal, or Emerald, or Platinum, or B2W2 did, I feel like it wouldn’t be enough to last.

          • Monkeyfuzz

I agree, depends if Gamefreak think it was though. We might get a new spin-off in that time. Likeliness is they’ve been told to try and get gen 8 out in 2018, which I hope doesn’t mean they rush it.

      • Ultron

Bruh I said this was in 2006

        • LunaMoon

          oh

My brother and I received our first Pokemon Game on Christmas the year it came out here, Pokemon Blue. We also got this handbook https://images-na.ssl-images-amazon.com/images/I/51KNY8BGJGL._SY344_BO1,204,203,200_.jpg

And some of the original figures, Sandshrew and Sandslash, Geodude and Golem, Gloom and Vileplume, Pigey and Pidgeot, Clefairy and Clefable. I still have all but the Geodude as its’ arms were broken off by a member of my family in the summer when it got hot and the arm joints got weak.

I often have asked for a new Pokemon game for christmas as I was never able to afford them any other time.

Well it wasn’t really a Christmas gift but I would say when my dad bought me a copy of Pokémon ruby years ago. We were out of town at a mall and he told me he would let me pick out one game at GameStop. Needless to say I picked ruby and it’s what got me into the Pokémon video games! Other than that probably the pikachu plush that I either got one summer or Christmas when I was like 7 or so before staying at my grandparents! Parents went into cvs and came out with a pikachu plush for me! Funnily enough still have it to this day https://uploads.disquscdn.com/images/aec0589bf2ed053ed228993b52fe836eb457549007872dc124210c96d4a294fb.jpg
