Weekly Wrap Up is our end of the week digest of smaller news stories that are just as important, but didn’t get a dedicated post. Event Reminders

  • The Sinnoh Cap Pikachu event will be ending this Monday, October 9th. Be sure to use the code PIKACHU20 in Mystery Gift to get this event ‘mon while you can, and remember: you can only get one of the Ash Hat Pikachu – use the code wisely! Sinnoh Cap Pikachu comes with the moves Thunderbolt, Quick Attack, Iron Tail & Volt Tackle, as well as the Pikashunium Z Z-Crystal
  • For those in America, be sure to head to your local Target store by October 14th to pick up a serial code for a special Charizard! This Charizard is Level 50 with the moves Dragon Dance, Flare Blitz, Fly, & Earthquake, and holds a Red Card.
  • For those in Europe, the Marshadow event has begun in multiple countries. Codes will be available until November 16th at the following locations:
    • Belgium – Intertoys, GameMania, Cora, Smartoys & FNAC via Nintendo Zone
    • France – Micromania
    • Germany – Gamestop
    • Italy – Gamestop
    • The Netherlands – Intertoys and GameMania
    • Spain – GAME via Nintendo Zone
    • UK – GAME

Pokémon Video Game Championship

  • The VGC 2018 ruleset has finally been confirmed! Coming into effect on January 1st, 2018, the new rules are as follows:
    • Battles will be Double Battles using Pokémon Ultra Sun & Pokémon Ultra Moon
    • Almost all Pokémon within the National Pokédex are allowed as long as they have the Alola Black Clover symbol. The standard Legendary Pokémon bans such as Mewtwo, Groudon, etc. persist – No Mythical Pokémon, duplicate Pokémon, or Ash-Greninja are allowed
    • All items are allowed, but duplicate items are not allowed
    • All Pokémon are set to Lv. 50, including Pokémon below Lv. 50
    • Player time is 5 minutes

Pokémon Sun & Moon

  • For those of you who participated in the recent Mega Melee Battle Competition, the 50 Battle Points entry gift is now available to all qualifying players! Simply log into the Global Link before October 30th and click this link to redeem

Pokkén Tournament DX

  • More special clothing codes have been released for Pokkén Tournament DX! The following codes unlock a special Training outfit and can be used across all regions:
    • Feminine style: ABZMNSU8D7QN
    • Masculine style: 8RMGLXANVZ3R

Pokémon Trading Card Game

  • October 6th marked the release of the special Pokémon TCG Set, Shining Legends! This set contains 78 cards of various Pokémon with a focus on Legendary and Mythical Pokémon, with several having Shiny variants

Pokémon GO

  • Pokémon GO v. 0.77.1 / v. 1.47.1 is now available for download!. This patch now gives a confirmation message when transferring costumed and prevents mass transfers for costumed ‘mon in general. In addition to this, it fixes various Raid related bugs such as  Raid Battles displaying the wrong number of trainers in the lobby, glitch making the Pokémon selected reset when you go to items in a Raid lobby, and other general network errors in Gyms.
  • The Pokemon Company International has confirmed that there’ll be a Halloween event in the mobile game – no other details have been revealed about the event yet

Pokémon Duel

  • Pokémon Duel, has a new patch that bring the popular mobile game to v. 4.0.4! This This update contains several bug fixes and requires 163MB, and is required in order to play the game going forward. It also added new Steel & Psychic-type Plates, a new Orange Time Booster which are guaranteed to hold Psychic-type or Bug-type Pokémon, a special 10 pack booster with a guaranteed EX or UX drop, and brand new figures including Mega Evolutions:
    • EX Figures – Solgaleo & Tapu Lele
    • R Figures – Cosmog, Cosmoem, & Espeon
    • UC Figures – Igglybuff, & Oricori P’au Style
  • In addition to this, several figures have been updated to be more balanced:
    • Mega Beedrill – Removed Twineedle and replaced with Pin Missile, Increased wheel size of Poison Shock, Decreased wheel size of Miss
    • Beedrill – Removed Twineedle and replaced with Pin Missile and added Toxic
      Decreased wheel size of Miss
    • Mewtwo – Changed Annihilate’s effect, increased wheel size for Annihilate, removed Psychic and replaced it with Psycho Cut
    • Gardevoir – Increased Super Psy power from 40 to 100 with a larger wheel size, increased wheel size of Warp Hole, and decreased wheel size of Moonblast and Miss
    • Metagross – Increased Metal Claw power from 90 to 100
    • Bronzong – Removed Confusion and replaced it with Heavy Slam, increased Extrasensory power from 80 to 100 with a smaller wheel size, increased wheel size for Iron Defense
  • Along with Pokémon Duel’s brand new update comes the Poison Gym Cup! This event has all Poison-type Movement 0, 1, & 2 figures increase by 1 and gives  Psychic-types figures an Attack increase of 20.  Ending on October 9th, an Alolan Raichu figure will be given to all players, as well as the usual Trophies that are always given out at the end of cups to display on your ranking screen.
  • Pokémon Duel is also now available on Amazon’s App Store! With this, the game is available on all Amazon Fire devices

Pokémon Shuffle

  • A new Pikachu is being distributed for all qualifying players as part of the September login bonus
  • A “new” Pokémon Safari is available until October 10th, 2017. This Safari mimics a previous one that includes Roggenrola, Boldore, Gigalith, Fletchling, Fletchinder & Numel while adding Female Hippopotas and Female Hippowdon
  • The new Tapu Fini stage is available until October 17th 2017 – it costs 600 coins to play
  • The following stages will have repeat runs until October 17th, 2017: Totodile (Winking), Feraligatr, Zygarde 10%, and Zygarde Complete Form
  • A “new” Pokémon Safari will be running until october 10th, 2017. This Safari repeats a previous one that includes Roggenrola, Boldore, Gigalith, Fletchling, Fletchinder & Numel while adding Female Hippopotas and Female Hippowdon.
