Weekly Wrap Up is our end of the week digest of smaller news stories that are just as important, but didn’t get a dedicated post. Here’s what you missed from September 4th to September 10th

Pokémon Trading Card Game

  • The Pokémon Company International has officially announced that Crimson Invasion will be released on November 3rd as the next set in the TCG. Based on the upcoming TCG sets that comes out in Japan next week, it contains over 110 cards, and introduces Red GX Ultra Beasts into the game

Pokémon Sun & Moon

  • For those  who participated in the No Holds Barred Battle Competition, the entry gift of 50 Battle Points is now available to all qualifying players through the Global Link. You can click this link after logging into the Global Link to get the BP – be sure to redeem it by October 30th!
  • Season 6 will run from September 12th to November 14th 2017 on Sun & Moon. And with a new season comes new rules – This ruleset bans the Top 15 most used Pokémon from the last few seasons of Battle Spot
    • Battle type: Single Battle
    • Pokémon Restrictions: National Pokédex.
    • Banned Pokémon: Mewtwo, Mew, Lugia, Ho-Oh, Celebi, Kyogre, Groudon, Rayquaza, Jirachi, Deoxys, Dialga, Palkia, Giratina, Phione, Manaphy, Darkrai, Shaymin, Arceus, Victini, Reshiram, Zekrom, Kyurem, Keldeo, Meloetta, Genesect, Xerneas, Yveltal, Zygarde, Diancie, Hoopa, Volcanion, Cosmog, Cosmoem, Solgaleo, Lunala, Necrozma, Magearna, Marshadow,Ash-Greninja, Charizard, Gengar, Gyarados, Porygon2, Blaziken, Salamence, Garchomp, Lucario, Hippowdon, Mamoswine, Ferrothorn, Landorus, Greninja, Aegislash, Mimikyu, Tapu Koko, Tapu Lele & Tapu Fini
  • Otherwise, standard rules apply: including all Pokémon being set to Level 50 if above that, choosing three Pokémon out of your six, and you cannot have two Pokémon holding the same hold item. Battles have a 10 minute duration, with 60 second turns. Pokémon need to be from X, Y, Omega Ruby, Alpha Sapphire, Sun or Moon

Pokémon Gold & Silver

  • Pre-order listings for the games have appeared on Amazon Japan – revealing that physical copies of the game will be available in Japan, and that anyone who pre-orders the game through the popular eCommerce site will receive a special Gold & Silver 3DS theme. No word on whether the physical copies or the theme will be released in other regions
  • An overview trailer for the games have been released on the official Japanese Nintendo Youtube Channel – you can watch it here

Poké Transporter

  • Version 1.3 of the 3DS transfer app is now live. Requiring 421 blocks this update doesn’t show up on the eShop nbut will appear on the 3DS home screen when selecting the app. It fixes a glitch that considered the wrong IV when determining shinies upon transferring from Gen I games

Pokémon Duel

  • Along with the popular mobile game’s latest update, the Ghost Gym Cup is coming! From September 11th to the 15th, all Ghost-type Movement 0, 1 & 2 figures will get an increase of 1 for movement, While Dark-types will get an Attack increase of 20 for each attack. Trophies will be given out at the end of the event that you can then display on your ranking screen
  • The Pokémon Company International has revealed that shiny Pokémon figures will be coming to the mobile game soon

Pokémon Shuffle

  • The following stages are available until September 19th: the new Tapu Bulu stage a special Type: Null stage, the repeat Reshiram stage, and the repeat Machamp stage
  • The Decidueye Escalation Battle stage is available until September 12th
  • A repeat of the Pokémon Safari featuring Abra, Kadabra, Alakazam, Tauros, Oddish, Gloom & Vileplume is now live
  • The Mega Beedrill competitive stage. This is a competitive stage that runs until August 22nd 201
  • Finally, the special challenge that includes Pikachu (Celebration) is now having the gift distributed
