I suggest you use spoilers to hide (at least the extra 2) pokés of every E4 member, so you can’t ruin it for people who hasn’t played it yet. I mean, I beat her twice already, but I would’ve been very angry if I read about her party accidentaly…

Also, hydreigons are really a nice choice for this fight, even if you don’t level them up that much. I remember mine being 65ish and I had no trouble with Shauntal.

When the first info on BW started to leak and Erufun (Whimsicott) appeared, I remember being excited over the possibility of a Grass/Ghost Poké. But then it was said it was a pure grass type. 🙁

Same thing goes with Shinx/Luxio/Luxray. They should’ve made him Electric/Dark and they didn’t.

I also support the idea of new pokés with different typing combinations as I absolutely love Jellicent (male) and had one in my party until I got the National Dex.

The problem with Chandelure is that if you use a slower Ground, Rock or Water pokémon, it’ll OHKO you with Energy Ball…

I just went agro with my Krook and Leavanny. my imported Infernape also did some pretty good damage too with flamethrower… on the subject of E4, Caitlin is my favorite E4 member in general hands down, and i mean including all generations and even the champions.

In reply to Similarity. I've tried using Golurk in competitive play and it just didn't work out in ANY situation. Plus there are just SO many other ghost types that are simply better than it. Evolite Dusclops, Gengar and Mismagius to name a few. It's a real shame because I think Golurk has so much potential.

In reply to michael spiller. Well, it wouldn't have that much difference tbh. Fire/Flying = Flying/Fire. Those other types would be cool though. I just hope that for the next generation they come up with cooler Pokemon and they should not follow the same design they used for the Pokemon in BW.

I think I remember reading that Frillish and Jellicent were originally pure Water-types, but during development they were changed to be partially Ghost-type essentially for the sake of giving Shauntal four Pokemon to use in the first match against her. And the woman who designed Frillish and Jellicent wasn’t happy about the Ghost-type addition because she had wanted the line to look like kings and queens, and she thought the Ghost-type thing went against that… sorry, what were we talking about?
Oh, right! Shauntal, I thought she was a pretty easy Elite Four member. I had my Emboar use Head Smash ad nauseum against Chandelure, Drifblim, and Froslass; it was basically a suicide tactic, but it paid off. Also, am I the only one who thinks Golurk is ridiculously bad in the defenses department? I don’t play competitively, so I can’t say with any certainty, but my Simisage, massively-underleved at the time, was able to take it out with a single Seed Bomb. Not very intimidating, I have to say.
